UPDATE: The HiPipo Music Awards Are Here And It's All About The Fans!

The 3rd HiPipo Music Awards ceremony is fast approaching and it’s my sole duty to make sure you know if your favorite artist(s) is up for nomination and make sure you vote for them. They event will be going down on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Wonder World Auditorium, Kansanga.

The nomination list of all the 34 categories for the 3rd annual HiPipo Music Awards was released in Kampala, Uganda on 10, Dec, 2014 and Sheebah, Kenzo, Bebe Cool and Radio & Weasel top HiPipo Music Awards nomination list, as  Eddy Kenzo, Chameleone  Bebe Cool, Radio & Weasel and Bobi Wine compete for Artist of the Year Award. Some of other East African artists include Jaguar, Nishike (Touch Me) hitmakers Sauti Sol, and Tanzania's Ommy Dimpoz and Diamond Platnumz.

As the theme of the event says, the fans will decide and the voting kicked off on the 15th of December and will go until the D-day when the lights, camera and action get in play. According to HiPipo CEO Innocent Kawooya, even though nominations have already been released, voting will kick off in five days after the 15th: 

“The team is busy preparing an easy to use yet technologically secure platform that will be used for online voting.  We are also working on an SMS portal that will be communicated in the next few days.” HiPipo CEO Innocent Kawooya said.
